About Doha Real Estate

Doha, Qatar's capital and primary city, is home to the vast majority of the country's residential property market. The city has been transformed by the 2022 FIFA World Cup preparations, with infrastructure investments exceeding USD 200 billion (~€184 billion) creating world-class transport, hospitality, and residential infrastructure.

The post-World Cup property market is navigating an adjustment phase as the significant new supply added during the construction boom is absorbed. Freehold zones for foreign buyers -- particularly The Pearl-Qatar and Lusail -- offer the most liquid segments of the market, while leasehold areas cater primarily to the rental market.

Doha's compact geography means that commute times are relatively short, though traffic congestion can be significant during peak hours. The Doha Metro, opened in 2019, has improved connectivity and is gradually influencing property demand patterns along its routes.
